This week, we officially kicked off the ๐—๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜‚๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฑ ๐— ๐—ผ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐— ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ต๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜, and I couldnโ€™t be more inspired by the incredible Scientist Mothers in the (virtual) room!

We have a truly remarkable and diverse group of Scientist Mothers joining usโ€”scholars from across the mainland U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada! We have scientists just launching their first labs alongside well-established principal investigators leading multi-million dollar research portfolios. Their research interests span the entire spectrum from basic science to clinical and translational research. Every scholar in this cohort is driving meaningful progress at the cutting edge of science. ๐Ÿ”ฌ

The kickoff event was a celebration of ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ด๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐˜„๐˜๐—ต.

Together, we:

๐Ÿค Built an immediate sense of trust and community through container-building exercises, where we shared our whole selves as both scientists and mothers.

โœจ Dreamed boldly by articulating our visions for our lives and our individual calls to courage as leaders

๐ŸŽฏ Took the first steps toward mastering peer coaching skills, setting the foundation for powerful conversations over the next six months, and even tried out our first peer coaching triads to put these skills into practice.

Iโ€™m deeply grateful to everyone who has supported me in bringing this program to life and to the incredible Scientist Mothers in this cohort for investing in themselves and trusting me to serve as their partner on this journey.
